New work is at the heart of our mandate at Ship’s Company Theatre. Without investment in New Play Development by government, corporate, or individual sponsors, the commissioning, developing and workshops of new plays could not be facilitated. New Play Development ultimately becomes a factor in the availability of new Canadian works for production.
As a New Work Development Sponsor, you will invest in the growth of a new play to help to ensure the development of an original work for potential future production at Ships Company Theatre, and potentially at theatres across this country and beyond.
