This year’s Third Mainstage Production is a very special show which has been touring across Canada, winning awards and accolades in every town in which it plays.
Jake’s Gift is a beautiful one-woman show which honours the legacy of Canada’s Veterans through humour, warmth, and the heartfelt relationship between a 10-year old girl and an elderly Canadian Veteran, as they meet on Juno Beach.
This production will hold a special place for area Veterans’ Group, school groups from the region, as well as our regular public. We hope that, by presenting it to groups of school children, we will have the opportunity to educate our youth about the sacrifice given by, and the debt we owe to, our Greatest Generation. We plan, too, to invite area Veterans’ Groups, Cadets, and Legion Members, to help us celebrate Nova Scotia Veterans.
