For the centenary of the Canadian Navy this year, we’re absolutely thrilled and honoured to be presenting this inspiring and touching show. Jake’s Gift has toured the country, and has won awards in many major centres in Canada.
Julia Mackey has created a phenomenal show about a crusty, world-weary, cynical old Canadian World War II Veteran, and an innocent little French girl as they chance to meet on Juno Beach. A very funny, heartwarming show that pays tribute to the history and importance of Canada’s veterans, we hope to honour our region’s Veterans’ groups, and bring attention to the great sacrifice and triumphs given to us by the Greatest Generation. We invite all area Veterans’ Groups, Cadets, Legions, and associated organizations to help us celebrate Jake’s Gift.
