Experience a Persian princess’ s epic journey from the palace harem, to Europe where she survives personal and political traums, and her return to a country forever changed by revolution.

Written by Shahin Sayadi, based on Masoud Behnoud‘s epic novel, Khanoom, The Veil tells the story of one woman’s powerful struggle to survive the most turbulent events of the 20th century.

Winner of 2008 Merritt Award for Best New Play for Shahin Sayadi and nominated for five other awards including best production, best set design, costume design, sound design and best actress, Valerie Buhagiar. Currently at an Fadjr International Theatre Festival in Iran. Touring Canada in fall 2009, opening in Parrsboro.
