Weekend of Instruction, Performance, and Fun at Fiddle Camp in Parrsboro!
by Rena Kossatz, Ship's Company TheatrePARRSBORO NS - Ship’s Company Theatre is again offering its popular annual Fiddle Camp, to beheld in Parrsboro on the long weekend of May 21st , 22nd and 23rd.
Renowned musicians and instructors Gordon Stobbe, Kelli Trottier, Kendra MacGillivray, Timi Levy, Geoff Horrocks, Skip Holmes, and Greg Simm will offer professional instruction in fiddle, guitar, mandolin and piano accompaniment within two jam-packed days of classroom instruction and workshops.
“We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and some new ones at our fifth annual camp”, said Greg Simm, musician and longtime associate artist with Ship’s Company Theatre.
Evening concerts on both Saturday and Sunday will showcase the professional musicians and the Fiddle Camp learners, with the calling of a rousing square dance for good measure!
Participants are invited to bring their families and embrace a memorable weekend of performance, food and fun while acquiring new skills and discovering the delights the area has to offer.
