"Tribute To Fall" by Bare Bones Café and Bistro in Support of Ship’s Company
by Rena Kossatz, Ship's Company TheatreThe evening of Sunday, September 27th was a memorable one at Ship’s Company Theatre, as delighted patrons gathered to partake of the sumptuous autumn feast at the Tribute To Fall dinner created by Chef Glenn Wheaton of Bare Bones Café and Bistro
in Parrsboro. Within the ambience of the theatre, beautifully enhanced by a spectacular backdrop and lighting, with stunning floral arrangements by Terri-Lynn Yorke, floral designer at Rosebuds and Petals Flower Shop on Main Street, diners were awed by the presentation of the spectacular meal, prepared and served on site with flair by Chef Glenn and his dedicated and skilled professional team.
“Magical” was the word most often used by those in attendance, in describing the look, feel, and flavour of the evening, generously orchestrated by Chef Glenn Wheaton as a fundraiser to benefit the theatre, a vital entity in the historic town. Wheaton, in full realization of the importance of cooperation and mutual support, declared his intention to deliver an extraordinary, and unforgettable, experience, and deliver he did!
The overwhelmingly positive response to 2009’s Tribute to Fall Dinner has patrons in high anticipation of next year; September 26th has been established as the date for the special event in 2010.
