Theresa Malenfant, New Brunswick’s acclaimed ‘Queen of Blues”, has been bringing down the house since her early public appearance on stage with the late Dutchie Mason. Introduced at a young age to the big band sounds of the 40’s, Theresa soon discovered the blues, listening intently to recordings of her favourite artists to discover their techniques.
Winner of an ECMA Best Female Artist award and twice nominated for Canadian Maple Blues Awards as Female Artist of the Year, Theresa Malenfant has a loyal and enthusiastic following across Canada as well as Europe.
Following a powerful vocal performance this month within the tribute to Rick Jeffery at the finale of the 2009 Dutch Mason Blues Fest in Bible Hill, Theresa, with her band, will be delivering her brand of Blues at Ship’s Company Theatre in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia on Monday, August 24th at 7:30 p.m.
