winner Ron Hynes is known as the
“Man of a Thousand Songs”. His moving
compositions are performed by artists
worldwide, the classic “Sonny’s Dream”
among the best known and loved. Ron
has been recognized as a valued contributor to the
cultural life of his beloved home province, Newfoundland. |

Mike Murley & David Occhipinti - July 28
An engaging and lyrical saxophonist, Juno-
Award-winning Mike Murley, and the
renowned guitarist, David Occhipinti,
bring a world-class offering to our stage.
Their acclaimed, Juno-nominated jazz
collaboration, “Duologue” was followed by
“Duologue Vol 2” in 2005. This is a rare opportunity to hear

The Divorcees with Big Deal - August 18
Delivering old country in their hot new country style,
The Divorcees have blazed a burnin’ trail to the top of
the hill! Like Hank and Merle before them, they play to
thousands of die-hard fans. “You Ain’t Gettin’ My Country”
put them on the map, and these guys are going places, fast.
When Big Deal plays in town, it’ s a very big deal! They ‘ve
written and recorded a long list of great songs that rock
their many fans. “Non Sufficient Funds” was the first CD;
another is in the works. Watch for them on their way up! |

Garrett Mason with Morgan Davis - August 25
The Blues doesn’t get any
better than this! Garrett
Mason is a superlative
performer, born to the
blues, whose star continues
to rise. His debut CD, “I’m
Just A Man”, won a Juno;
watch for his second release in 2008. Opening is Morgan Davis, a spectacular seasoned pro.
He hails from Detroit, plays solo and with the greats, and
is now “At Home in Nova Scotia”. The stinging guitar work
and mighty vocals of these men pack enough power to
shift the universe. |
